This week we were hard at work on a new feature that will make creating custom checks easier. More on that next week - in the meantime here are the tweaks and bug fixes we shipped over the last seven days:

  • Improved handling of deleted clauses. Previously, Pincites sometimes failed to match clauses that had been deleted (in a tracked change). We've made our matching logic for those clauses more robust.
  • Improved UI for duplicating checks. In the admin dashboard, when you click to duplicate a check, Pincites will now open the check in edit mode, so you can make changes right away.
  • Loading checks on the clause details screen. In Word, when you click into a clause before all checks have loaded, you'll now see the number of outstanding checks that may still affect the clause.
  • Error message for older versions of Word. We're working to add support for Office 2019 (Volume License). In the meantime we've added an error message that explains why we can't yet support it.
  • No more blank sources. In Word, Pincites used to display a blank source when referencing a deleted clause. We no longer do that. In future we plan to show a struck through source for sources that reference deleted text.

Got an improvement you want to see in Pincites? We'd love to hear from you.
